Grant deadline calendar generator
List your grant reports and deadlines, then download them as a calendar file for Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Each deadline becomes an all-day event with alerts 14 and 3 days before. Your list stays in this browser; nothing is sent to our server.
Add a deadline
Paste from a spreadsheet
Copy rows from Excel or Google Sheets and paste them here. With a header row, columns are matched by name (Grant, Funder, What's due, Due date, Owner). Without one, put the columns in that order. Dates can be 2027-01-15, 1/15/2027 or 15 January 2027.
Your deadlines
No deadlines yet. Add one above or paste rows from your spreadsheet.
Add the file to your calendar
- Google Calendar: on a computer, open Settings, then Import & export, choose the .ics file and the calendar to add it to. Google uses your calendar's default notifications instead of the alerts in the file.
- Outlook: open the .ics file, or in Outlook on the web go to Calendar, Add calendar, Upload from file.
- Apple Calendar: double-click the file on a Mac, or open it from Files or Mail on an iPhone, and choose a calendar.
Importing the same file twice updates the events in Outlook and Apple Calendar rather than adding copies. A downloaded file doesn't change when your dates do; for a calendar that stays current, see how to set up a shared grant calendar.
What to put on the list
One line per thing a funder expects: interim and final reports, budget updates, site visits, renewal applications. Write the actual date, even when the award letter says "60 days after the grant period ends". The grant reporting checklist covers what to look for in an award letter.
